The iFUNFoods group presented a poster with the first research results entitled "Developing effective functional constituents for probiotic cultures in foods" at the Probiota-2019 International Conference in Copenhagen on 13-15 February 2019. Participating in such an event is a great opportunity to interact with important scientists and leading professionals in the field of probiotics. Starting in September 2018, the project aims to validate and scale up a laboratory process for the production of symbiotic food ingredients. The project is co-funded by the European Union and the Hellenic National Funds through the Operational Program "Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation", under the project "RESEARCH - CREATE - INNOVATE" (Project Code: T1EDK-03846).
